Old Harbour, Innswood continue winning in St Catherine cricket
OLD Harbour and Innswood Old Boys extended their lead atop Zones One and Two after both secured favourable results in Round Five action of the St Catherine Jamaica Energy Partner (JEP) cricket competition last Sunday.
Old Harbour moved up to 48 points in Zone One with a three-wicket win over fifth-placed Dela Vega (12 points) at Port Esquivel.
Scores: Dela Vega 132 all out (38 overs); Old Harbour 136-7 (33 overs)
Markon Guy, who made 33, was the only batsman to offer any resistance for Dela Vega against Ravmon Powell’s 3-10. Bowling support came from Kamar Isaacs, who took 3-27. Adrian Bartley scored an even 50 and Erron Downer made 35 in Old Harbour’s chase. Guy (4-46) and Shawn Headlam (2-24) took most wickets for Dela Vega.
Meanwhile, Andre Bryce hammered an unbeaten 105 and his brother Damion Bryce struck 44 not out as third-placed Bartley XI (14 points) thrashed cellar dwellers Packers All Star by eight wickets at Prison Oval. Packers are yet to gain a point in the Zone One clash.

Over in Zone Two, Innswood Old Boys moved to 48 points when they defeated fifth-placed Kitson Town (12 points) by four wickets at Kitson Oval.
Scores: Kitson Town 119 all out (26 overs); Innswood Old Boys 121-6 (25 overs)
Ken’s Wildflower moved into second place on 36 points with a seven-wicket win over Correctional Services at Bridgeport. Correctional Services, who are also on 36 points, are in third place, having played one game more.
Scores: Correctional Services 101 all out (29 overs); Ken’s Wildflower 104-3 (20 overs)
Dwayne Guthrie bagged 7-53 and Hodayne Bryce slammed an unbeaten 73 in Angels Estate five-wicket win over Ewarton in the other Zone Two fixture at Dela Vega.
Scores: Ewarton 169 all out (38 overs); Angels Estate 170-5 (31 overs)
The competition continues on Sunday with fourth-placed Eltham (12 points) playing at home to Old Harbour, while Dela Vega will host Packers All Star in Zone One fixtures.
Over in Zone Two, Correctional Services will oppose Innswood Old Boys at Prison Oval, Ken’s Wildflower and Ewarton will do battle at Bridgeport, while Guys Hill will hunt their first point against Kitson Town at Cheesefield.
