74-y-o Manchester man chopped to death

MANCHESTER, Jamaica – The Manchester police confirmed that the body of a 74-year-old man was found in the parish today.

He has been identified as Owen Whyte of Chudleigh, in the North Eastern section of Manchester.

According to police reports he was found by residents in his house with chop wounds to his shoulder, back and hand.

Two suspects are reportedly being pursued.

Police say that robbery may have been the motive for Whyte’s killing. Alicia Sutherland
