Portmore United return to Premier League

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Former National Premier League (NPL) kingpins, Portmore United will make a swift return to the NPL next season after defeating Savannah SC 2-0 in the Football Federation All-Island Confederation play-offs at the Frome Sport Complex in Westmoreland yesterday. Portmore are on 10 points from four games with two games remaining.

In another key game, Super League qualifiers, UWI, also kept their hopes intact of taking the other spot with a determined 1-0 win over York FC at the UWI Bowl.

The win moves UWI to seven points from four games and they need only a point from their remaining two games to make it safe.
