Carter beaten into 2nd in 100m at NY Diamond League

NEW YORK, United States — Jamaica’s Nester Carter finished third in the men’s 100m event at the Adidas Grand Prix Diamond League meet here on Saturday.

Carter, 10.15, was however promoted to second place behind American Tyson Gay (10.12) following the disqualification of Trinidadian Keston Bledman.

Carter’s compatriot Nickel Ashmeade was promoted to fifth after finishing sixth in a time of 10.28 seconds.

World lead: Justin Gatlin (9.74)
