Todd leaves bank for family business

Monique Todd has resigned her positiion as vice president of marketing, public and corporate affairs at the Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica, effective April 30, 2015, to focus on her family business.

“As of May 2015 I made the decision to devote my energy towards the family business and I am now focused on building the company’s public image while assisting in its management as the company grows and takes on new projects,” Todd said in a statement on her LinkedIn profile.

Todd has had a career in marketing spanning some 18 years, with the last 13 years specifically in the financial industry. She worked at Scotiabank for some nine years, starting in May 2006 as senior marketing manager, and progressing to marketing director or wealth management and moving on to the vice president role.

Prior to Scotia, Todd worked as senior marketing manager at Pan Caribbean Financial Services (now Sagicor Invesments and Sagicor Bank) for more than three years from October 2002 to April 2006.

In her financial career, Todd has also served as co-chair of the Jamaica Bankers Association’s Public Relations Committee and chair of the Insurance Association of Jamaica’s public relations committee. She has also served as a director of the Scotiabank Foundation, a member of the bank’s Service Management Committee and Scotia Insurance’s Investments Advisory Committee.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Fine Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.

Campbell leaves NCB

Ffrench Campbell has resigned from his role as senior assistant general manager of the group facilities and services division at the National Commercial Bank, effective May 8, 2015.

Major Campbell had been in the role since April 2004, where he managed all facilities and construction projects, the acquisition and disposal of buildings, lands and equipment. He also oversaw the security, safety, environmental and centralised purchasing portfolios for the Group.

With a private sector career that has spanned more than 20 years, Campbell has also had a 19-year career in the Jamaica Defence Force where he served as an officer in various engineering and management posts.

Prior to NCB, Campbell worked with the Jamaica Public Service Company in the capacity of station manager, and at the Jamaica Private Power Company as production manager before his appointment at the EAL/ERI Cogeneration LP power company as general manager in 2003.

Campbell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the Royal Military College of Science, Cranfield in the United Kingdom, and an Executive MBA from the University of the West Indies.
