REGGAE SUMFEST: Empire actor, rapper Yazz receives warm welcome
ST JAMES, Jamaica — United States rapper Yazz received a warm reception during his performance at Reggae Sumfest 2015 at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay, St James.
The actor in the US television show, Empire, did not only connect with his songs, but also interacted with his audience with his best imitation of the Jamaican dialect.
“Hey mon. Why pree?” he remarked.
“You ready for season two? Make some noise in this building. You ready for my album? Make some noise in this building.”
He scored with selections from his vast catalogue such as ‘Stay Away’ and ‘Drip Drop’.
Another American, Jennifer Hudson, is expected to strut her stuff next.
