A cabal of Kingston’s business leaders and influencers gathered recently at the well-appointed upper St Andrew home of Stacey Halsall Peart, chief operating officer at Advanced Integrated Systems, for the launch of The Destination Experience (TDE) to be held at the Half Moon Hotel, Montego Bay from November 5 to 7.

The cocktail reception, which attracted over 100 invited guests, announced TDE’s move from Golden Eye in St Mary to the Second City and also introduced new partners, business titans Michael Rollins, CEO of Rosehall Development Limited, and Arthur Wylie, CEO of AW Enterprises.

Both Rollins and Wylie, in their individual addresses, underscored their love of Jamaica and their excitement to partner with TDE founder siblings Kirk-Anthony and Michele-Anne Hamilton. Guests milled around in an exquisitely styled Tai Flora setting and enjoyed a specially designed menu by OPA! Greek Restaurant and the Caribbean’s only AA rosette rated chef, Collin Brown.

Buoyed by last year’s successful staging, the 2015 TDE expects to continue to support more international business and socially impactful initiatives for Jamaica and the Caribbean. Among the non-profit agencies with local ties set to benefit and lend assistance by way of assistance to young entrepreneurs are the Arthur Wylie Foundation, the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship, The Prince of Wales Foundation and the Bob Marley Foundation.

The Destination Experience is a boutique social discovery experience designed for business leaders, tastemakers and influencers to celebrate success, prosperity and goodwill in the company of their peers. The experience aims to elevate the profile of the Caribbean, facilitate local and international business deals and support entrepreneurship and charity.
