Flow promises bigger, more exciting back-2-school fair in MoBay’s Old Hospital Park Sunday
MONTEGO BAY, ST James — Telecommunications provider, Flow, after a thrilling first and second staging of the Flow Back 2 School Fair in Montego Bay where patrons were treated to a number of school supplies, is promising an even more exciting and worthwhile staging this year to be held this Sunday at the Old Hospital Park.
Foundation partner, Discovery Channel, is back on board but this year in a more expansive and thrilling way, Flow said in a release. It said there will be a ‘Shark Month’ that is expected to be the central focus, where patrons can peruse and use their minds with the help of effects to be transported to an underwater educational experience, while learning about this phenomenal property as well as the Doki Village where kids will be able to take multiple photo ops with Discovery Channel’s official mascot.
At the same time, the first 300 persons to sign up or upgrade any of their Flow packages will receive a ‘fully loaded’ school bag with supplies from Flow and Discovery Channel.
Another exciting addition to the fair is the Brand Jamaica experience inside the Mogul village, which will house a number of the
2015 Jamaica Observer Mogul In The Making nominees and winners who will be showcasing Brand Jamaica and their locally produced items.
Ollunid will be there with shoes for back-to-school, Sweetie with authentic Jamaican-tasting fruit candy, Herboo with haircare treatment, and Crazii which manufactures socks with personality. The moguls will also be selling their back-to-school essentials at discounted prices.
In addition to the discounts and free giveaway items that will be offered, this year the Broadband company has turned things up a notch with the new and improved fully air-conditioned health and wellness zone which will offer free haircuts and health checks for children. Additionally, children will be engaged with a children’s village with a number of fun rides including electronic interactive Wii games provided by Str8 games.
Proper nourishment and nutrition is also important, so this year, CB Foods and Lasco have partnered for a food court where patrons will be able to enjoy Lasco smoothies, iCool water, Bad Dawg hot dogs, jerked chicken and other treats.
The entrance for this year remains free of cost and tickets are available at the Fairview retail store. The event starts at 11am and ends at 4 pm.
According to Flow’s Sponsorship Manager Nicole Campbell, “We are excited about the Back To School initiative as it demonstrates Flow’s continued commitment to the Montego Bay community and its environs.
“We are taking things up a notch and this year and we are going for the wow factor. Flow is a family brand and so outside of providing an event which is a one-stop shop for all back-to-school needs, we want to ensure that we provide an avenue for families to come out and enjoy some free, quality, fun entertainment,” she said.
