Guadeloupe’s visa waiver excludes travellers to Dominica with J’can passports
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The authorities in Guadeloupe have advised that they have waived the visa requirement for travellers entering the country in order to take a ferry to Dominica.
The waiver – valid for Sunday, August 30 and Monday, August 31 – does not apply to travellers holding a Jamaican or Guyanese passport, a news release from LIAT said Sunday.
Regional carrier, LIAT, announced changes to its schedule due to the closure of the Douglas Charles Airport and the cancellation of several flights.
The airline says it will be operating an additional 29 services into Guadeloupe this week, to facilitate movement in and out of Dominica.
Customers holding a LIAT ticket to or from Dominica can change their flight to or from Guadeloupe, Martinique or St Lucia at no charge.
