Converse steps with dBURNZ & The FlashMob
LOCAL reggae act dBURNZ and The FlashMob is the recipient of a two-week music programme at Tuff Gong studio in Kingston, courtesy of American sneakers company Converse Incorporated.
The programme, Converse Rubber Track, began yesterday. According to the sneakers company, 84 were selected worldwide from more than 9,000 applicants.
“The selected acts will record alongside a team of experienced producers and sound engineers during 1-2 day sessions.
Upon completion of their studio time, each act will retain all the rights to their music,” said a release. Artistes selected are from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, New Ze
The participating studios included Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, New York, and Boston, Massachusetts; Abbey Road Studios in London, England; and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, California.
