VIDEO: It’s All In The Details

WITH just two weeks until shopaholics indulge in a five-hour islandwide discount bonanza at their favourite retailers for the Jamaica Observer Takes Style Out-initiated venture, retailers and entrepreneurs from the fashion, beauty, home furnishing, digital media, and even the ice-manufacturing industries gathered for an enlightening seminar hosted by the Jamaica Yellow Pages (JYP) at the Spanish Court Hotel on Monday.

Free to all interested retailers, the four-presenter morning session held in the hotel’s stark white Valencia Room, addressed contemporary retail trends from the viewpoint of JYP Digital Marketing Manager Kimone Singh; the business payoffs of website development and maintainenance of an online storefront, which were talking points for JYP Digital Sales Manager Rasheed Girvan; steps to cultivate a culture of service delivery excellence for both customer and staff members, which was expounded on by customer service coach Nadine Burrowes-Seaga; and a walk-through of how to create visually enticing store windows and interiors to attract customers by Karen Booker, CEO of Karen Booker Design Group.
