Are you enumerated? Do you plan to be enumerated?

KINGSTON, Jamaica – With just 14 days to go till the September 30 deadline to get on the next voters’ list, OBSERVER ONLINE wants to hear from you.

The next voters’ list will be published on November 30, but we want you to join us as we count down to the enumeration deadline.

The Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ) has urged people to visit their Electoral Office of Jamaica constituency office to complete the process in order to be added to the next voters’ list.

To be eligible for registration you must be a Jamaican or Commonwealth citizen, at least 18 years of age, and must be ordinarily resident in Jamaica for at least 12 months prior to registration.

Electors who register after the September 30 deadline will have to wait until May 31, 2016 to be added to the voters’ list, and will not be eligible to vote should an election be called before then.

So, join the discussion and your comment may be featured in our countdown.

Comment below our daily countdown on our website at www.jamaicaobserver.com or drop us a line on Twitter @JamaicaObserver or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/jamaicaobserver.

Today’s question: Are you enumerated? Do you plan to be enumerated?
