INDECOM probes death of alleged robber
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says it has launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of a man by the police in the Glenmuir Housing Scheme in Clarendon.

INDECOM said reports received from the police are that a policeman was on his way home at approximately 8:30 pm Thursday night, when he received reports from residents that a robbery was taking place at his house. The lawman reportedly responded.
It is said that two men engaged the officer and gunfire was traded. This resulted in one of them being shot, while the other escaped.
