DEFENDING champions Grace Cannings beat Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) 31-25 to level their best-of-three 2015 Business House Basketball Association 3-on-3 Division One League quarter-finals 1-1 at the Stadium Basketball Courts last Wednesday.

With the play-off series locked at 1-1, the two will face each other tomorrow in game three to determine who goes through to the semi-finals.

BOJ had won the first game with a surprisingly 26-21 result. Grace took a 17-13 lead at half-time before the defending champions pulled off victory. Jermaine Garricks scored 11 points for Grace.

Meanwhile, Courts/Unicomer continued their winning ways in the Division Two League by clinching the best-of-three quarter-finals play-off 2-0 to push them to 15 victories without defeat this season.

Courts won 30-15 in game one and 28-23 in game two last Wednesday over Jamaica Money Market Brokers. Courts have moved into the best-of-three semi-final play-offs.

National Housing Trust (NHT) knocked out Seprod Group 2-0 to clinch their series and advanced into the best-of-three semi-final play-offs. They won 28-21 and 33-24 in games one and two, respectively. NHT led 19-16 at half-time, with Javon Bailey scoring 11 points for the winners and Deshan Campbell getting 12 points for the losers.

Sagicor ‘A’ have also made it through to the semi-final play-offs by winning their quarter-final in the Division One League 2-0 over Accent Marketing. Sagicor won game one 46-39 and game two last Wednesday 34-27.

In game two, Cordell Grant scored 15 points for the winners, including five three-pointers for Sagicor ‘A’, while William Powell got 14 points for Accent Marketing.

Police were too strong for Guardsman Group in another Division One League quarter-final play-offs as they wrapped up the series 2-0 by winning 38-24 and 40-27, respectively. Game one was played last Monday.

In game two last Wednesday, Police led 17-9 at half-time and went on to dominate the second half by outscoring their opponents to win convincingly. Shad Walters scored 18 points for Police, while Christopher Crawford got 11 points for Guardsman.

Sagicor ‘B’ clinched their Division Two League quarter-final play-offs 2-0 against Industrial Commercial Development with 36-33 and 34-31 results, respectively, for a place in the semi-finals.

The winners led 19-17 at the interval with Lauriston Gibson getting 13 points for the winners and Kitwana Lawrence getting 19 points for the losers.

Urban Development Corporation (UDC) got the better of Cari-Med 29-26 to level their Division Two League best-of-three quarter-final play-offs at 1-1 last Wednesday.

Cari-Med had won game one 19-18 and led 13-12 at half-time, with UDC fighting back strongly in the second half to clinch victory. Deano Hibbert scored 15 points for the winners.

PEPSI Jamaica beat Aeronautical Communications (AEROTEL)/Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority 25-19 to tie their Division Two League quarter-final play-off at 1-1. AEROTEL had won game one 32-31. PEPSI led 14-10 at half-time.
