Marking World Maritime Day
Last Thursday, World Maritime Day 2015 was celebrated in style with a balloon release at the Waterfront, downtown Kingston which generated much excitement among the key players in the maritime industry, who partnered to officially recognise the day. A thousand helium balloons were released in observation of the annual internationally recognised day. This comes on the heel of events spanning four days; which include a thanksgiving church service, an exposition at the Institute, a maritime and logistics conference at the Jamaica Conference Centre on Wednesday, followed by an industry cocktail reception and dinner.
