UK PM arrives tomorrow, Japan PM Wednesday
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron is expected to arrive on the island for a one-day visit tomorrow.
The Government had said last week that it was expecting two special guests to the island between September 29 and October 1.
In a media release this morning, the Office of the Prime Minister confirmed Cameron’s visit and said he would depart the island on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the OPM said in another release that Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe will visit Jamaica on Wednesday then depart on Thursday.
While in Jamaica, the prime ministers will be involved in several official activities in Kingston and St Andrew including a floral tribute in honour of soldiers of World Wars I and II; bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller; a Reception with representatives of the Jamaican Government, business community and civil society.
