Former Jamaica Observer Business Leader nominee lauds programme
KINGSTON, Jamaica – “I owe the growth and popularity of Manpower to the Business Leader Award nomination,” former Jamaica Observer Business Leader Award nominee, Audrey Hinchcliffe said at Wednesday’s launch of the 19th staging of the award.
While weighing in on how the award has impacted nominees since it started in 1996, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Manpower and Maintenance Ltd said her nomination did not only allow people to learn more about her, but also her business.
“(My) company was shown in a completely different light, that we are a business among businesses,” Hinchliffe said.
Hinchcliffe is now a judge on the committee that will select the winner of this year’s award
This years’ staging of the annual event is set for December 6 and will focus on philanthropy, under the theme: Business Leader Corporate Philanthropy. One of 10 nominees will be selected.
The Jamaica Observer Business Leader Award programme was conceptualised to expand the narrative surrounding entrepreneurship and to highlight successful business professionals and their enterprises by showcasing their journey and using them to positively impact that of others.
