It’s Showtime with Damion

AFTER honing his skills as a selector with the East London sound system, Showtime, singjay Showtime Damion embarked on a career as an artiste.

His latest song, Live My Life, produced by TMG Productions, is now out.

Live My Life reflects on Showtime Damion’s rise from humble roots to his current status as an emerging artiste. The song is complemented by a video directed by Manny Grey.

Showtime Damion was born Damion Johnson and grew up in Mandeville. He migrated to the United Kingdom at age eight, settling with his family in London.

He returned to Jamaica and completed his secondary education at Spaulding Comprehensive High School in Clarendon before going back to London in 1999.

“I have been doing music professionally for the past seven years. The first song I recorded was called Reality and it was featured on the Alter Ego ‘riddim’ from TJ Records. The reception to the song was really good on the streets and from then I decided to continue doing music,” said Showtime Damion.

To date, his best-known song is Watch Yuh Mouth.

Live My Life: The Journey Continues is the title of his debut EP expected to be released to be released in December.
