DEFENDING cham-pions Jamaica College will once again put their ISSA/Flow Super Cup title on the line when they take on Excelsior High at the National Stadium scheduled for 6:00 pm today.

In the curtain-raiser St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) tackle St Jago at 4:00 pm.

In the other quarter-final games at Sabina Park, title favourites St George’s College will play Glenmuir High at 4:00 pm before Clarendon College play Wolmer’s Boys’ two hours later.

Only three rural area teams are left in the final eight of the Super Cup and all eyes will be on them as they try to break the Corporate Area dominance.

Defending daCosta Cup champions Clarendon College, who came from behind to beat Hydel High 2-1 last week, look the more likely team to advance, but they will not have an easy task against a well-organised Wolmer’s team from Heroes Circle.

STETHS, who dismissed Charlie Smith fairly comfortably, will have a fight on their hands when they play the free-flowing St Jago outfit bubbling with confidence after they knocked out the high-riding Lacovia High last week.

St Jago also boast two victories over Kingston College (KC) and their tails will be up setting the stage for an intriguing encounter.

Another Clarendon school, Glenmuir High, will have the arduous task of derailing the St George’s College train that has picked up steam and is rolling over everything in front of them.

The Neville Bell-coached ‘Light Blues’ from North Street have the most potent attacking trio of Shevon Stewart, Alex Marshall and Gregory Messam Jnr, backed by the composed midfield duo of Hakin Williams and Dominic James. St George’s will be hard to deny.

But if there is a coach to mastermind St George’s demise, it must be the wily veteran Patrick ‘Jackie’ Walters, and with him at the helm, Glenmuir cannot, for one minute, be taken for granted as KC discovered when they came from two goals down to win 3-2.

The JC versus Excelsior clash is a mammoth game, but having just played and lost 0-1 to Jonathan Grant on Thursday, Excelsior will be hard-pressed to recover in time to beat JC following just one rest day in a cruel set of fixtures for the schoolboys.

However, it should be four interesting games at the National Stadium and Sabina Park and with nothing much between the teams, any number could play.
