Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate indeed. It seems Taylor Swift just can’t catch a break these days what with yet another law suit being filed against her. 

While the other law suit pertains to an instance of alleged sexual assault and the radio personality Swift pointed her finger at losing his job, this one is musical in nature. Jesse Graham (a little known singer) claims that Swift stole his hook and used it in her smash hit Shake It Off. Apparently before the pop star told us all that ‘haters gonna hate’ and ‘players gonna play’ Jesse had it in his song.

Don’t worry, music fans, teenAGE has done their bit of detective work and have concluded that it’s highly unlikely Jesse will win the case. For one, the songs hardly sound alike, and for two it appears that the only similarity the songs share is the line haters gonna hate / players gonna play. And if the line sounds familiar, Swift’s song genius aside, it’s because it is familiar – it’s been a pretty popular saying for sometime now. We can’t predict what a court will say, but it doesn’t seem like Swifties have much to worry about. 

This simply means, Jesse will have a hard time proving Swift ripped him off. At best he stands to come out of this little scuffle with some more recognition and a bit of attention on his media pages after trying to call the pop princess out.
