Hague 5K Run/ Walk to assist community centre
HAGUE, Falmouth – Public Relations Officer for the Hague Neighbourhood Watch Citizens Association, Marcia HoSang Rodney, says proceeds for the inaugural staging of the association’s 5K Run/Walk, which takes place on Saturday, will go towards the completion of the Hague Community Centre.
HoSang says approximately $1.5 million is needed to complete the facility, which has been under construction for quite some time.
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 6:15 am at Salt Marsh Square and will end on the grounds of the Hague Community Centre in Trelawny.
Rodney said following the race, a health fair and jerk festival will be held at the same venue, starting at 11:00am.
She said representatives from the National Commercial Bank, the Trelawny Fire Department, the Trelawny Health Department and other agencies will be on hand to share information with the public.
