Manchester United disappointed fans once again with a shocking 2-1 defeat to newcomers Bournemouth FC. Bournemouth opened the scoring with a goal from former United player, Joshua King, in the second minute. Man U eventually equalized with a goal from Marouane Fellaini and the first half ended 1-1. Newcastle denied Tottenham Hotspurs three points today, beating them 2-1 to end their unbeaten streak. Spurs relinquished their lead from an Eric Dier goal to lose as Aleksandar Mitrovic equalized and Ayoze Perez taking the three points for Newcastle in the dying moments of the match.

Barcelona notably missed Neymar in their match this week, giving up a 2-0 lead to come away with one point in a match against Deportivo. Barcelona opened the scoring with a goal from Lionel Messi followed by one from Ivan Rakitic. Barcelona had seemingly run away with the three points until Martinez Lucas Perez netted a goal in the 77th minute and Garcia Alex Bergantinos in the 86th minute. Barcelona had not managed to score again at the match ended 2-2. This draw marks the first time Barcelona has dropped points  at home this season. Barcelona are now tied on points with Atletico Madrid at the top of the league.

Real Madrid failed to take advantage of Barcelona dropping points, losing 1-0 to Villarreal. Madrid was unable to convert any of their 20 shots on goal, but Villarreal converted one of theirs in the eighth minute as Roberto Soldado netted the only goal of the match. Real Madrid remains in third place, five points away from the top spot.

Inter Milan blanked Udinese 4-0 to collect three points. While Udinese had periods of possession and dominance, it was Inter that scored goals. The goals came from Marcelo Brozovic, Stevan Jovetic and Mauro Icardi who netted two goals for Inter Milan. This win has extended Inter Milan’s lead at the top of Serie A.

Juventus continues to win, beating Fiorentina 3-1 in their fixture on Sunday. Fiorentina took the lead first with a goal from Josip Ilicic but Juventus came from behind to win, with goals from Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala. Juventus have now won their sixth consecutive Serie A game and are six points from the top of the table.
