Entertainment fraternity pays respect to J Capri
The entertainment fraternity turned out in their numbers to pay their respect at Monday’s thanksgiving service for the life of entertainer J Capri.
At the service held at the University Chapel, Mona, singers and players of instruments as well as other affiliates of the industry joined hundreds of mourners inside the historic cut-stone chapel as well as under a tent pitched just outside.
The artiste succumbed to injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident along the Barbican Road in St Andrew on November 23. She died at the University Hospital of the West Indies on December 4.
Jamaica Observer photo editor Bryan Cummings captured some of the moments.
A larger-than-life sized protrait of the artiste stood at the altar.
(From left) deejays Kiprich, D’Angel and Mr G, as well as media personalities Yanique Barrett and ZJ Liquid were among those who came out in support.
Chris Martin performs a medley of Only The Good Die Young and Watch Me, Lord.
Cherine Anderson moved many to tears with her stirring rendition of Missing You.
