Elephant Group honours outstanding staff members

MONTEGO BAY, St James

ELEPHANT Group last week recognised 37 members of their staff for exemplary service at an awards banquet and party dubbed ‘Shades of White” at Secrets Resorts and Spas in Montego Bay.

The event, now in its third year, saw the awardees being presented with trophies and plaques in various categories, including Team Leader of the Year, Agent of the Year, Human Resource Excellence Award, Most Valuable Person, Most Valuable Leader and Rookie-of-the-Year.

The Florida-based sales company, which began operations in Jamaica almost two years ago, has a total staff complement of over 300 and is located in the bustling Business Process Outsourcing district in the Montego Bay Free Zone.

Speaking at the event, CEO for Elephant Group Glenn Goad expressed gratitude to the employees for making Jamaica the highest sales performing centre.

“We are highly committed to Jamaica and we continue to build here. Jamaica has the highest performing sales environment as well as the highest number of employees within our four locations,” stated Goad.

In addition to Jamaica, Elephant Group currently operates in the United States, El Salvador and India.

“We recently signed a new partner which will see us hiring 300 – 500 new employees in the next six months and we are going to put as many as we can in this location,” Goad added.

Goad also spoke of the company’s commitment to their employees as he stressed the importance of the awards banquet and party.

“At the core of our business is hundreds of employees and for us it’s about our staff and what we can do to show our appreciation, whether it’s through our compensation packages, management staff relations or our back-to-school assistance programme, because we know we are only as successful as our next employee,” he explained.

Marvin Tulloch, vice-president and general manager, Jamaica Operations, Elephant Group, presents the Most Valuable Leader award to Samantha Lynch, at the company’s awards banquet and party last Saturday.
