Holness family visits children and golden age institutions
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, his wife, Juliet , and his two sons Adam and Matthew, on Wednesday visited with patients at the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
The Holness family distributed toys and interacted with the patients and staff at the children’s hospital.
The family, together with West Kingston MP Desmond McKenzie, later visited with the elderly residents of the Denham Town Golden Age Home, where they presented caregivers with a much-needed washing machine and fellowshipped with the residents through the singing of Christmas Carols.
Holness says it is important that during the festive season, the country remembers the less fortunate, including the aged and those who are suffering or hurting.
He said Jamaicans must share and spread the joy and love that is usually associated with the season with their fellow citizen.”Christmas is a time for giving, a time for sharing and a time for fellowshipping. Let us always keep in mind the real reason for the season,” the opposition leader said.
