39-y-o shot dead in Spanish Town

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A 39-year-old man was shot dead in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Wednesday.

Dead is Exroy Thompson, otherwise called ‘Pops’, of Salt Pond Road in the parish.

Reports are that about 8:30 pm, residents heard explosions along the Spanish Town bypass and summoned the police.

 On their arrival, Thompson was seen with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at hospital.

In the meantime, the St Catherine North Police are appealing to members of the public to assist them with information in solving this and other crimes in their division. The Spanish Town Police may be contacted at 984-2305 or 984-2874.
