Man arrested in Kingston 11 firearm seizure
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Hunts Bay Police on Tuesday arrested and charged a man following the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Oakland Avenue, Kingston 11.
Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is 26-year-old Vincent Davis, otherwise called, ‘Mickey’, scrap metal worker of the mentioned community.
Reports are that about 5:45 pm, a team of police officers was on patrol in the area when Davis aroused their suspicion. He was accosted, searched and a .38 semi-automatic Smith and Wesson pistol along with a magazine, containing twelve rounds of ammunition was seized. He was subsequently arrested.
A court date will be announced at a later date.
