Jamaica thrashed 9-3 by Guadeloupe at Futsal tourney
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s national Futsal team opened their Caribbean Football Union (CFU) 2016 qualifiers with a 9-3 loss to Guadeloupe on Friday.
The Theodore Whitmore-coached team found their opponents too tough to handle despite a brace from Mitchly Waul at the Sala Polivalente Kid Chocolate (Kid Chocolate Multipurpose Room) in Cuba.
Jamaica were scheduled to face St Maarten on Saturday, before closing their campaign against the hosts on Sunday.
In other results, Trinidad & Tobago defeated Antigua & Barbuda 7-1; Curacao got the better of Guyana 5-2, while Cuba blanked St Maarten 5-0.
The winner of Group one will face the winner of Group two, while the runners-up of both groups will face each other in the final round of games on Tuesday.
