Businessman, schoolteacher to face court on sexual offence charges
A Corporate Area businessman and a physical education teacher of a prominent high school have been charged by detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse for various sexual offences.
Police did not release their names and also withheld the name the school to which the teacher is employed.
The businessman, who is alleged to have raped a woman at her home on two separate occasions in November last year, is booked to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, January 28.
The schoolteacher is accused of inappropriately interacting with a student in his office in late December 2015, and is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 1. He is facing a charge of sexual touching.
