Charity Med Golf Classic this weekend

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The ninth staging of the much-anticipated Charity Med Golf Classic will tee of this weekend at the Cinnamon Hill Golf and Country Club in Montego Bay, St James.

The event is orchestrated by the Department of Surgery at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) and the Professional Golfers Association of Jamaica.

The tournament will be played in an individual format and will see professionals playing 36 holes over Friday and Saturday, while the amateurs will play 18 holes on Saturday only.

The donation is US$100 or the Jamaican equivalent and includes green fees, caddy and cart, on-court hospitality and after party.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of equipment for the Department of Surgery and Anaesthetic Department at the UHWI.

The tournament will be followed by an exclusive concert at the Montego Bay Convention Centre from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tee of time is 11:00 am on both days.
