Attorney on fraud rap returns to court March 17
FORTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD attorney Jade Hollis, who was charged last year on allegations that she defrauded a real estate company of more than $12 million, is to face a preliminary enquiry on March 17.
The date was set when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court last last month. Her bail was also extended.
Hollis was arrested and charged in April 2015 at the Norman Manley International Airport upon her return to the island.
Her arrest followed a ruling by Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn.
It is alleged that Hollis, who was retained as a carriage of sales for a real estate company, collected over $12 million and converted it to her own use.
