Seba thrash Violet Kickers 4-1
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Seba FC prevailed 4-1 over Violet Kickers as the long-time protagonists met for the first time in many years in the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League at Albion on Friday.
All five goals came in a 15-minute period of the first half as Seba FC scored their first win of the season and extended Violet Kickers pointless run to four games.
In another game, Catherine Hall beat Norwood Strikers 2-1 at the UDC field in a match-up of former champions.
At Albion, Gregory Williams started the ‘goal rush’ when he gave Seba FC the lead in the 16th minute, and Asornie Binger made it 2-0 a minute later.
It was 3-0 in the 20th minute as Javaughn Bingham got his first of the season.
Andrew Walker got his third goal of the campaign when he pulled one back for Violet Kickers in the 29th minute, but Junior Malcolm made it 4-1 in the 31st minute.
At UDC, Keatanna Dawkins scored a brace for Catherine Hall as they snapped their two-game winless run as Norwood has failed to win in three straight games.
Dawkins gave Catherine Hall the lead in the 16th minute and Romario Dent pulled Norwood Strikers level in the 73rd minute.
Dawkins completed his double in the 77th minute, however, as Catherine Hall went on to record their second win of the season.
