Princess Popstar to return to Jamaica
The 2013 Horse of the Year Princess Popstar is scheduled to return to Jamaica this month or early next month.
Princess Popstar left Jamaica in 2014 unbeaten, and could only manage two wins in Trinidad and Tobago as she was plagued with injuries for most of her racing career in the twin-island republic.
The Complete Racing Guide has learnt that the Two Penyu-owned filly by Adore The Gold – Boundary will not race at Caymanas Park but will return to the country for breeding purposes.
“
Princess Popstar is scheduled to return to Jamaica some time this month or if not early next month as the owners want her down there. They are at the moment waiting on some blood test results before she can leave the country,” a groom from the stable in Trinidad toldThe Complete Racing Guide in a telephone interview.
“She will not race in Jamaica as she will be going to the farm for breeding purposes,” he added.
