Gibson/McCook Relays: Calabar fastest qualifiers for 4x400m finals
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Calabar High are the fastest qualifiers for the finals of the high school boys 4x400m relay Open as the Gibson/McCook Relays got under way at the National Stadium this morning.
Kingston College got off to a poor start failing to advance to the final, as they were ninth overall, missing the cut by one place.
Calabar won heat five in 3 minutes 15.32 seconds; St Elizabeth Technical High won heat four in 3:15.37 seconds; Edwin Allen High were winners of the first heat of the day in 3:15.60 seconds; St Jago High won heat three in 3:15.92 seconds; Petersfield High (3:16.50 seconds), Holmwood Technical (3:16.79 seconds), Spalding High (3:17.01 seconds), and Munro College (3:17.963 seconds) rounded out the qualifiers.
Jamaica College initially had the eighth fastest time, but were disqualified.
