Escaped convict recaptured
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The Ministry of National Security this morning reported that the inmate, who escaped from the Diamond Crest facility in St Elizabeth on Wednesday afternoon, has been recaptured.
The inmate, Romaine Robinson, otherwise called Shotta, Oneil, and Crab, was serving a seven year sentence for robbery with aggravation. He was held last night in Gutters, Manchester.
“The Department of Correctional Services thanks the security forces, the media and citizens who aided in the recapture of the inmate,” the ministry said in a release.
