HARTLEY Cawley, a pharmacist from Black River St Elizabeth, texted his way to a new car in the Digicel ‘High Rollers’ Text-to-Win competition. His fast fingers and dedication to the game have made him the owner of a 2016 Toyota Corolla.

“The day I decided to enter the competition, I was driving to town and my car broke down,” Cawley shared. “Same time, the text came in saying that I could win a car in this text-to-win competition and I was just thinking that this must be a sign from God.

“Words can’t even describe how extremely happy I am to win this car. I was really committed when I started playing this game and I just truly believed that this was going to be my chance to win. So my entire family was supporting me and even helping me to participate in the game,” he added.

Twenty-seven-year-old Sherece James and Demar Williams placed second and third in the competition, winning $1 million and $500,000 respectively.

“At Digicel, we love to give our customers the opportunity to win and have fun in the process,” said Patrick King, head of customer solutions at Digicel. “But more importantly, we want to give them a chance to win something meaningful and something that can add value to their lives. When Hartley told us the story about his car, we were very happy for him and we wish the same for all our customers.”

The Digicel ‘High Rollers’ Text-to-Win competition was launched on January 1 and ended on March 31. To enter, customers had to text the word ‘CAR’ to 444-2425.
