Stick Figure returns
SOUTHERN California reggae/dub band Stick Figure has replaced Alkaline as number one on the Billboard Reggae Album chart.
Stick Figure’s 14-track album, Set in Stone, returned to the top spot, having debuted there last November.
In the past week, Set in Stone sold 376 copies, bringing its tally to just over 13,843 copies. This is the group’s sixth studio effort; it features collaborations with singer Eric Rachmany, Slightly Stoopid, B Kong and Collie Buddz.
The group also hit number one in 2012 with Burial Ground. Stick Figure comprises Scott Woodruff (vocals, guitar), Kevin Bong (keyboards), Kevin Offitzer (drums) and Tommy Suliman (bass).
In the meantime, Alkaline’s New Level Unlocked EP saw a decline in sales following his debut at number one last week with 741 copies.
He falls to number two with an additional 248 copies sold, bringing his tally to 989 copies. Joss Stone’s Water For Your Soul is at number six with 33,034 copies sold to date.
Another American band, Iration, is at number four with Hotting Up which has sales of just under 14,000 copies.
Bob Marley & the Wailers’ Easy Skanking in Boston ’78 is at number 10 with 59 copies sold during the last week. To date, the set has sold 17,862 copies.
