Sean Paul collabs with British girl group
New tune alert! Jamaica’s very own Sean Paul has teamed up with another international artist to create a song that is sure to be a hit. The reggae and dancehall super star is featured on British girl group Little Mix’s latest single
Hair, fresh off the girls’ brand
new album
Get Weird. This comes right after the success of their most recent single
Secret Love Song featuring Jason Derulo.
In
Hair, the fourth single off the
Get Weird album, the X-Factor UK winners who are currently on tour can be heard singing about getting a guy out their hair, both literally and metaphorically. With lyrics like “I call my girl ’cause I’ve got a problem ,only a curl is gonna solve it” and “Gotta bleach him out, peroxide on him”, this song is poised to be a hit everywhere with females going through a break up. Adding to the mix the mind blowing vocals these girls have, more than a few guys are certainly going to be bopping along.
Sean Paul’s verse in the soon to be hit is another reason guys will find themselves dancing to the beat. “That was my aim just to be
playin’ with your body”, “I’m just sayin’ you goin’ miss this suga daddy” and “How you goin’ get me out your hair girl when I bought it?”
are just a few of Sean’s rhymes that will more than likely have guy’s ears pinging.
Could this be another come back for ‘Dutty Paul’? Or is he simply just riding in on a new wave of features (see recent collaborations with Sia and Jay Sean) before seemingly fading back into obscurity. Either way with intense vocals, smooth rhymes and a catchy beat, this song is poised to be taking a spot on the Billboard top 10 in the very near future. Go give it a listen and tell us what you think!
