NCU team develops mosquito repellent
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A team from the Northern Caribbean University (NCU) in Manchester has developed a mosquito repellent, named Guardana Inc, which was today presented to the Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton.
According to information from NCU, the team will be representing Jamaica with the product at the International Business Model Competition later this month.
The competition is open to all students enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education anywhere in the world, the competition organisers say on its website. “The competition evangelizes lean start-up principles and aims to educate and inspire smarter and more successful entrepreneurs,” the website stated.
The product was presented to the minister at the Ministry of Health in New Kingston.
