Antigua records first case of Zika virus
ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Antigua and Barbuda has recorded its first case of the Zika virus.
According to a report from the Antigua Daily Observer, the victim is said to have travelled recently from the Dominican Republic and has so far only been identified as a woman residing in Grays Farm in the country.
It said lab tests conducted by the Caribbean Public Health Agency confirmed the infection, which was announced today at a press conference held by the ministry of health.
