Gunshots fired in downtown Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — People on Princess Street in downtown Kingston are calling on the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) to probe the circumstances that led to members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force opening gunfire on the usually busy street in downtown Kingston.
Gunshots rang out on Princess Street a short while ago as several people were sent scampering.
Alleged eyewitnesses report that police officers opened gunfire at higglers in the commercial district.
Also, eyewitnesses allege that a man and a woman were also assaulted by the police.
There are no reported injuries.
