Slain woman police to be buried Sunday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Woman Corporal Judith Williams will be laid to rest on Sunday, May 29.
The funeral service for Williams is scheduled for 10:00 am at the Hagley Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Kingston 11. Interment will follow at Meadowrest Memorial Gardens in St Catherine.
Police Commissioner, Dr Carl Williams, as well as other senior officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are expected to be in attendance.
Corporal Williams, 54, was fatally shot on her way to work while waiting at a bus stop in east Kingston.
The Police High Command subsequently reported that a policeman and a civilian were taken into custody in relation to the shooting death.
