Bayern Munich have confirmed that they are in talks with rivals Borussia Dortmund ahead of the potential move of Mario Gotze. The German World Cup winner has failed to star at Bayern and a possible move back to the club that gave him his first professional game as a footballer could be the perfect move to reignite his career. Last week saw the completion of French midfielder N’Golo Kante’s transfer to Stamford Bridge. The Foxes accepted a club record fee which allowed Chelsea to acquire their second signing under Antonio Conte. The 25 year-old came short of adding a UEFA Euro Championship medal to what was an impressive season but felt short losing to Portugal in the final.
After signing a five-year contract, Kante said: ‘I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a dream come true for me.
Liverpool prodigy Jordon Ibe has left the club and signed for Bournemouth for a fee reportedly to be around ?15m. Ibe is Bournemouth’s third signing of the summer after Nathan Ake and Lewis Cook.
Juve made another big name signing when they attained Medhi Benatia on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to make the deal permanent for ?17m. Juventus also signed Miralem Pjanic from Roma and Daniel Alves from Barcelona. They are also interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain, who the club allegedly has an agreement with to sign a four-year contract that would make him the highest paid player in Italy.
Leicester have made a huge signing in the form of Nigerian forward Musa, who scored 54 goals in 164 games for CSKA Moscow before moving to England for a fee of ?16.6m. Musa says he is delighted to have joined the EPL’s champions and “looks forward to playing with Jamie Vardy.”
