Portia submits nomination for president of PNP
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller submitted her nomination for re-election as president of the People’s National Party (PNP) a short while ago.

In a Facebook post by PNP vice-president Angela Brown-Burke, Simpson Miller is shown smiling alongside members of the party hierarchy as well as party supporters.
Simpson Miller’s nomination comes after former PNP general secretary Peter Bunting told his Manchester Central constituency conference on Sunday night that he would not be seeking nomination to challenge Simpson Miller.
