Immperial does it better
Doing Better is the title of an EP by deejay Immperial, formerly known as Alley Cat. It contains four self-produced tracks for his Immperial Productions label.
“Each track has its own concept. Doing Better speaks about overcoming obstacles and living life to the fullest. No Man Mascot speaks about females who reject negative treatment from men,” said the deejay, who blazed the charts in the 1990s.
He scored with Girls Tour, Brag and Boast, Why Why, No More Garrison, and A Gal A Say She Hotter.
A former Kingston College student, he made his recording debut in 1996 with Girls Tour.
With four albums released to date (his last was 2014’s Dancehall Knowledge Vol 3), Immperial says he has evolved musically.
“I think I have a higher mental capacity by keeping abreast with everyday events, both locally and internationally, putting things into the right perspective and delivering it through the fine art of music,” he explained.
Born Albert Richards, Immperial currently resides in Florida.
