Man shot in downtown Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — There is currently a strong police presence on Bread Lane in downtown Kingston following a shooting incident about this morning.

Reports are that a man was shot in the groin about 9:30 am by an unknown assailant and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Lawmen from Motorized Patrol and the Denham Town Police station are reportedly on the scene carrying out the necessary investigations.

A motive for the attack is yet to be established.
