Unidentified body found on beach in Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Elletson Road Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a body that was found on the beach along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in East Kingston this morning.
The body is of dark complexion, medium build, about 5 feet 9 inches long with a plaited hairstyle. It was clad in a blue shirt, blue shorts and green and black sneakers.
Reports are that about 6:45 am residents discovered the body and summoned the Police. On arrival of the lawmen, the body was seen lying face down with a gunshot wound. The scene was processed and it was removed to the morgue pending a post mortem.
Anyone who may be able to assist the police in identifying the body is being asked to contact the Elletson Road CIB at 928-4200, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
