THERE were several other automakers which showcased their newest green technology vehicles at the expo.

1. VW ID Concept Volkswagen

unveiled its ID Concept which will come on stream by 2020. Bearing a striking resemblance to the VW Golf and Beetle, the ID has a retractable steering wheel and a trunk that can accept package deliveries.

2. Toyota FCV Plus The Toyota FCV Plus, which made its debut at the Toyko Motor Show in 2015, is a talking point at the Paris Auto Show. Turning fuel cell vehicles from eco cars into energy cars, this 3,800-mm concept vehicle adds a new sense of purpose to the future of the automobile.

3. eX Concept Electric Crossover Also making another appearance from the Toyko Motor Show in 2015 is the Mitsubishi eX Concept. A compact SUV powered by a nextgeneration EV system, it evokes the image of a sports crossover zipping nimbly around town as it merges the elegance and stylishness of a ‘shooting brake’ (a term for a coupé with flowing styling fused with a hatchback car).

4. GT-Phev Concept Ground Tourer Mitsubishi’s GT-PHEV boasts the auto company’s X-shaped ‘Dynamic Shield’ design language, with three large stacked LED rings incorporated into the front bumper. Its bold design at the front is carried through to the rear, while a sloping tailgate lends the GTPHEV an attractive and sporty aesthetic.

5. Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid

With production slated for 2017, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is one mean (and clean) machine.

It pushes 462 hp and 516 lb ft of torque, and it will sure to get your heart racing.
