Police curfew areas of St Catherine
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following the brutal murders early Sunday morning of five people in the March Pen area of Spanish Town, St Catherine, the Police have imposed a curfew in sections of the St. Catherine North Division. The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9 and will remain in effect until Tuesday, October 11. The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH: Along the Spanish Town Bypass between Dunbeholden Road and March Pen Road;
SOUTH: Along an imaginary line between an area known as Big Tree and Dunbeholden Road;
EAST: Along Dunbeholden Road between the Spanish Town Bypass and an imaginary line from an area known as Big Tree;
WEST: Along March Pen Road between the Spanish Town Bypass and an area known as Big Tree.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
