Collapsed section of Constant Spring Road now fully reopened
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Communication Manager at the National Works Agency (NWA) Stephen Shaw has confirmed that the section of Constant Spring Road in St Andrew, which recently collapsed because of problems with the sewer line, is now fully re-opened.
“The work on the sewer main is now complete, and the road is now fully re-opened,” Shaw told OBSERVER ONLINE on Wednesday.
“There is still some minor work to be done but our priority here at the NWA was to get the road open,” Shaw said.
On Monday, motorists heading from Dunrobin to Half-Way-Tree were able to use the south-bound lane of the roadway that was closed for repairs last Thursday after a National Water Commission (NWC) sewage pipe burst in the area causing parts of the roadway to collapse.
The affected sections of the roadway, in the vicinity of the Market Place, are now fully reopened to vehicular traffic.
